Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 | The Samsung universe is about to expand again with the addition of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Android tablet. Samsung was one of the original Android tablet manufacturers with its release of the first 7 inch Galaxy Tab in September of 2010. Tablets have come a long way since then and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is by no means the exception to the rule.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will be Samsung’s first Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) tablet and it will be lighter and thinner than its predecessor as well. In March 2012 Samsung will start releasing the Tab 2 beginning in the United Kingdom and expanding to other markets from there. So let’s take a quick look at all the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will be offering when it hits the market later this year.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 – 7 inch
- The tablet will be available in both 3G/Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi only versions.
- The operating system will be Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
- The processor will be a 1 GHz dual-core processor with 1 GB of onboard RAM.
- The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will have models configured as 8, 16 and 32 GB of user memory with a microSD slot incorporated for additional memory up to 32 GB.
- Cameras included are one rear facing 3 megapixel and one front facing camera for video calling.
- The 7 inch touch screen sports a resolution of 1024 x 600, the same as the original 7 inch Galaxy Tab.
- Connectivity has provided via wireless 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and a USB 2.0 input slot.
- On the 3G model network connectivity will be HSPA+ 21 Mbps 850/900/1900/2100.
- All models this Samsung Android tablet will include the Samsung TouchWiz, Samsung Apps. Samsung Suggest, Google Mobile Services and A-GPS. 3G models will also include AllShare Play, Samsung Hub and Samsung Hub Widget.
As a special note according to Samsung the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will have voice calling capabilities, which means that you can just as easily make a call from your tablet as your phone. The Samsung Hub that is offered on the 3G tablets will combine Readers Hub, Music Hub, Games Hub and the Video Hub all in on convenient area.
One aspect of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 that is a particularly gray area at the moment is just what the price will be. First indications are that Samsung will be offering up the Tab 2 at somewhere above $400.00 US. Hopefully this will only be the case for the 3G model and the Wi-Fi only version will come in closer to $250.00 US, since that would make the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 not only a contender to the iPad but the Kindle Fire as well.

Samsung Galaxy Tab-2 looks very awesome and in video it looks awesome. You could described some application in this video which are new in this android enabled tab.
Its marvelous. I love Samsung. Samsung is my favorite mobile brand as we can get attractive features at very affordable price. Screen is looking fantastic. Hope it will have ultimate voice quality also.
